County Sponsors Job & Career Fair 2012
The Board of Lucas County Commissioners and The Source Northwest Ohio, in conjunction with Representative Marcy Kaptur, are pleased to announce Job & Career Fair 2012 scheduled for Friday, May 4 from 9 AM to noon at the Seagate Convention Centre in Downtown Toledo.
Nearly 50 employers have registered to attend the event including Chrysler (Jeep), Campbell Soup, Johns Manville, Pilkington North America and Toledo Refining (formerly SUNOCO).
The event is free for all job seekers however online registration is recommended. Individuals who register in advance at www.thesourcenwo.com will not be required to fill out registration forms on the day of the event.
Free parking for job seekers has been donated by the Seagate Convention Centre in the lot at Washington and Summit Streets between Washington and Lafayette Streets. Also, the Toledo Blade has stepped up to support the event by donating advertising as a Print Media Sponsor.
In addition, The Source is offering a pre-event workshop on how to put your best foot forward at a job fair. “Tips on Working a Job Fair,” scheduled for Thursday, May 3 from 2 to 4 PM, the workshop will cover how to prepare for the event, what to do at the event, how to follow-up after the job fair and how to properly dress. The workshops are free but reservations are required. To sign up for the workshops, job seekers should call 419-213-5627 (JOBS).
